Duplicate SKU vs blank SKU

Blank SKU means missing identifier. Duplicate SKU means two variants share one identifier. Both can hurt operations, but duplicate IDs are usually worse.

When duplicate SKUs might be intentional

Bundles, mirrored listings, or migration staging can intentionally reuse SKUs. Document it and confirm downstream systems tolerate it.
